This policy explains what information Lineup ("the app") collects, why, and how it is handled. Lineup is developed by AppTapTap ("we," "us," "our"). Lineup is an independent festival companion app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any festival, promoter, venue, or artist mentioned in the app.
You can browse lineups and rate artists without an account. To sync across devices and use friends, you can sign in with Apple, sign in with Google, or sign in with a one-time code that we email to an address you type. If you join or create a crew without signing in, Lineup syncs your ratings, RSVPs, and crew as an anonymous "guest" identity: a random identifier created for your device, with a generated name such as "Guest 4F2A" and no email address.
When you sign in, or sync as a guest or in a crew, we store:
Your ratings and other preferences are also kept on your device, and widgets, the Apple Watch app, and CarPlay show data cached on your devices. Some of this on-device data (for example your profile, friend list, and play counts) can also sync between your own devices through your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit, which is governed by Apple's privacy terms; we do not receive it from iCloud.
Lineup contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, does not use advertising identifiers, and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.
If you choose "Notify me when next year's edition is in Lineup" without being signed in, we store only your device's push token, the festival, and the year, so we can send you one notification. We delete that record after the notification is sent, when you unsubscribe, when you sign in (it is then kept with your account), or after 18 months of inactivity, whichever comes first.
When you first use Friends, Lineup may ask Apple to share an age range (for example, under 13 or 13 and over), never your birthdate. The answer stays on your iPhone, is used only to decide whether social features are available, and is never sent to our servers or shared.
If you tap "Near me" in the festival picker, Lineup asks for your location while you use the app and uses it on your device to sort and filter festivals by distance. Your location is never uploaded to our servers.
Each of these is optional and is requested only when you use the related feature. You can change them at any time in iOS Settings.
Lineup offers an optional "Season Pass," a one-time in-app purchase for a festival season (for example, the "2027 Season Pass"). Your first festival each season is free. The purchase is sold and processed entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your payment details, and your purchase is checked on your device through Apple.
Apple's and Spotify's own privacy policies apply to what they receive.
"Ask" answers questions about the lineup using Apple Intelligence on your device. Your questions and the answers are not sent to our servers.
We use this information to operate your account or guest sync, show you festival lineups and your ratings, power crews, friends, and the activity feed, deliver push notifications you've enabled, send you sign-in codes, create the playlists you request, fix bugs, and detect abuse (for example, reviewing blocked or reported accounts).
We use the following service providers, each of whom processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:
Other Lineup users can see the parts of your profile and activity that friends and crews are designed to show, such as your display name, avatar, and set RSVPs. Lineup also displays festival, artist, and schedule information sourced from Wikipedia (CC BY-SA), the Ticketmaster Discovery API, Spotify, and Apple Music — this is public reference data shown to you, not your personal data being shared outward. We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We keep your account and associated data until you delete your account. Residual copies in server logs and backups are deleted as those logs and backups expire. Diagnostic reports and next-edition alert records are deleted on the schedules described above.
Lineup is intended for users 13 and older and is rated 13+ on the App Store. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
